Medical Society of Papua New Guinea - 2026 Medical Symposium
Join us for the 60th Annual Medical Symposium in Lae, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea
The Medical Society of Papua New Guinea is delighted to announce its 2026 Medical Symposium, which will be hosted by the Morobe Provincial Health Authority in Lae with Support from ANGAU Memorial Hospital and PNG University of Technology.
The theme for this year's symposium, Provincial Health Authorities (PHAs) Establishment: Review of the Past, Present and Future, will provide an opportunity to reflect on the journey of PHAs, assess current challenges, and discuss future directions for strengthening provincial health systems in Papua New Guinea.
Dates: 30th August to 4th September, 2026
Venue: To be Confirmed - Lae to be confirmed
Host: Morobe Provincial Health Authority with support from ANGAU Memorial Hospital and PNG University of Technology
The Medical Society of Papua New Guinea invites members, health professionals, stakeholders and interested participants to begin submitting abstracts via the website or by email submissions to abstracts@mspng.org.pg.

Submit your research for the 59th Annual Medical Symposium
The Medical Society of Papua New Guinea will be hosting its 59th Annual Medical Symposium in Port Moresby, NCD, from August 31st to September 5th, 2025. The theme for this year is “One Health”.
The Medical Society invites All Health Workers, Doctors, Medical Researchers, Church Health Workers, Private Health Care Providers, NGOs, Academics and any interested members of the public to submit papers relevant to the theme through email: abstracts@mspng.org.pg
All abstracts (including authors & key words) are to be no more than 300 words (in MS Word).
The scientific committee will review abstracts and you will be notified whether your abstract has been accepted or not after the deadline for submissions has closed.
The closing date for Abstract submission is 16:00 hours, 08th August, 2025.
